EFFIX is a computerized application intended for enhancing production floor efficiency.
Data is collected routinely, transmitted to a computer station and after processing is available to managers and workers alike.
The system is modular
In its basic form, the customer can even enter data by typing it after the working day is finished
Best results are achieved when data is collected on-line, by hand-held terminals routinely collecting the data from working stations
If data is collected during the working shift, managers can view real-time data.
The only requirement is being connected to the plant network.
Data can be transferred to remote sites, via the Internet, if the customer wishes so.
For the system to really promote workers efficiency, the plant needs to set up "NORMS" for each activity, namely:
The actual time, in minutes, every action in the station requires.
Real-life performance is compared to the "Norm" and efficiency is 100 percent if the two are equal
Efficiencies of over 100 percent are acceptable.
Efficiencies of over 67 percent are usually associated with "Incentive payment", rapidly increasing with efficiency increase.
To set up the correct norms, our industrial engineers collect and analyze each activity.
Publications can be directed to:
a. Paper reports,
b. On big LCD displays, in the production floor, for everybody to see (and compete)
c. On personal displays, mounted in each station, receiving the station efficiency figure from a ceiling transmitter (Infra-Red, no radiation hazards, no wiring required)
